Foreign languages

Living in the modern world without knowing any foreign language is almost impossible.

Foreign languages are absolutely necessary for people nowadays, because of our growing international contacts with foreign countries. It is useful to speak at least one foreign language as with its help we can communicate with people who speak it and this ability is useful in our life.

In my school I learn English, French and Latin. I like English and that is why it is one of my favorite subjects. But I don’t really like French and Latin because I don’t completely understand them. I would like to speak at least 3 foreign languages. English, French and Spanish.

Learning a foreign language is not an easy thing. It is a long and slow process that takes a lot of time and efforts. But to make this process quicker and more interesting people usually try to watch films in language they learn, read books in original and travel to countries where the language they learn is native.

To improve my English, I watch English films with subtitles, listen to English and American songs and read some books in English. Twice a week I have extra courses with native English-speaker as well.

In conclusion, I would like to say that it is important to know at least one foreign language, as it may help in future life.
